Customer Evaluations
My wife bought one of these tiny monsters as a Christmas present for me. I pulled it out of the box, ignored the instructions and flew it (flailed around about a foot and a half in the air actually) in the bedroom over the bed for about three minutes till the factory charge on the battery went flat. I then decided to read the directions whilst the battery charged. The instructions provided are moderately 'encrypted' by loose translation, but answered a couple of questions.
I flew the machine a second time and had some problems with rotor torque or a thing causing it to spin without having input from the remote. I produced the adjustments listed in the directions and the machine flew flawlessly after that. The potentiometer listed in the instructions is a little white surface mount type on the forward ideal hand portion of the circuit board (looking from the rear). It helped to snip away component of the plastic shield over the board (I assume a radio freq. shield and mirror for the disco l.e.d. that flashes in the course of flight) to reach it and I had to remove a decent deal of wax locking compound. A 1/two turn down (proper) fixed the torque spin issue and all was nicely in the globe.
My piloting abilities and lack of very good judgment have lead to various crashes and close to disasters. Zero cost falls from seven to eight feet and impacts with each and every factor from tables and chairs to ceiling light fixtures have only yielded a bent skid and one blade change (blades are readily obtainable and cheap about 6$ a set). I would advise this 'copter to anyone as a result. It is fairly advanced beyond the tiny plastic tossers and has very sensitive controls. Outdoors it soars to awesome heights and with the additional 'elbow room' the sensitive controls make flying a tiny much more absolutely free and painless.
There is a slight concern when you're about half way by way of the battery charge - forward or backward manage inputs will drop the most important rotors power and demand some 'up' input. This is not the normal loss of lift connected with tilt on a heli, but some apparent function of the tail rotor drawing juice from the mains. I had to 'bend' the tail rotor straight just after a especially difficult landing so possibly this is causing the extra draw and resulting problem.
If you are looking for an 'out of the box' toy then appear elsewhere - if you want a thing with extra of a 'hobby' feel, super rugged design and power then this helicopter is for you. It flies outdoors incredibly, extremely nicely due to it being a little heavier and alot more effective. It calls for a good deal of patience but you'll be rewarded with months of enjoyment from a toy that is not rather as 'toy like' as you'd feel.
I would complain about a single tiny factor...the disco light. why? flashing lights I recognize - but multicolored disco lights on a helicopter don't make substantially sense...how about just nav lights?
Takes a although to study to fly but after a small pratice if is enjoyable to play with my wife hates it simply because I fly it all over the home and crash it alot iv hit pretty much anything in the house the heli takes a beating built highly well I would recommend it to every person I am going to order a further 1
