I purchased this helicopter as one thing to play with when I didn't have time to take my RC plane down to the field. I just wanted some thing inexpensive and easy to fly. I was pleased to see that the construction is as advertised and is largely created out of lightweight metal. The only parts on the heli that are not made of metal are the skids, the rotor blades and linkages (I'll get to that in a second), the gears, and the front of the body. I was not happy still with the cheap feel of the transmitter or controller. It reminds me of those inexpensive controllers you get with RC automobiles that you can obtain as a kid from your favored toy shop. Mine had a broken antenna but I was able to repair it. I also was not happy with the owners manual. It really is the worst English translation I have ever observed. The manual is absolutely useless.
The initial flight went nicely and I was certainly impressed by the helicopter. It flew stable and was very simple to manage. I was a small disappointed about how quickly the battery drained, but that is to be expected I guess with an RC heli with 3 motors keeping it in the air. The second flight was an completely different story. The grip set for the leading rotor broke apart in mid air causing the helicopter to come crashing down. I was going to return the heli, but right after reading about how picky the distributor can be with returns I decided to keep it and try to make it improved. I ended up modifying the grip set with metal pins so I would not have the similar issue.
Following repairing the helicopter I had no complications flying it for a handful of days. Right after about ten flights I began hearing clicking noises from the motor. Just as everybody else had described, 1 of my key gears started to strip. The gear under no circumstances totally stripped out on me, but the heli itself only survived two way more flights. When flying it at a height of about 25 feet the helicopter decided to drop to the ground without having warning breaking very a handful of parts on impact. UPDATE : OK, just after some days of searching about searching for parts for this factor and coming up empty handed, I've had some results.
