Buyer Testimonials
I have a compact squadron of mini helicopters and this 1 is by far the most beneficial so far. I read good testimonials of the Syma S107. I was rather pleased with it compared to some of the older Syma models. Then I saw the positive evaluations for this and believed I would give it a go. It flies extremely well! Quiter than the other seven helicopters I have and so stable, smooth, and responsive. It is a tiny slow with forward and reverse momentum, but not poor. Slow is less difficult to control...possibly that was intentional. We fly these just about every day in the office and this hands down outperforms everthing else.
For those comparing models, here you go:
Syma S109 Apache- Exceptional
Syma S105G (Sport Helicopter) Fairly Beneficial -Fastest, stable, but somewhat loud, durable metal frame
Syma S107G- (Sport Helicopter) Quite decent- practically identical to S105 but a little slower, diverse scheme, older?
Syma S026 Chinook- Looks cool, flies ok, but difficult to manage. Too significantly power for its weight 'Cieling magnet'
Syma S013 Black Hawk- Horrible! Particularly light, spins uncontrollably, fragile
Syma S013 Apache- See S013 Black Hawk assessment. (buddy purchased this 1 to join the fun: nothing but regrets)
Heard the S108G Cobra is excellent as well but haven't tried it. My deployment to Iraq is practically more than, so I most likely won't be acquiring any more toys.
What a difference a gyro tends to make! Incredible...I tried one of the 1st gen micro R/C copters (no gyro on those) not extended soon after they came out, and identified them to be quite tough to manage and not significantly entertaining due to the fact of it.
This generation with the gyro is just awesome although...SO stable, SO quick - but not boring. There is nonetheless a studying curve for total R/C noobies that will make this a excellent 1st R/C copter, but I look at it almost like a challenge...attempting to master this tiny beast is Fun!
This also essentially looks like a real helicopter, compared to the ones I purchased previously, which looked like....properly like R/C copters - completely unrealistic.
The LED lights are amazing so you can fly at night (my kids Love that - the dog...not so a lot), and the issue even appears to behave like a real helicopter, with ground impact and having to cut down speed (thrust?) to tilt forward (I am no pilot or physicist, but I do know that the preceding models I tried did not give me any kind of sense of "this point FEELS like I am flying a genuine helicopter!")
Gonna stop now given that I sound like I function for the enterprise (not even confident who the business is basically, but whoever it is, they sorely have to have an English native to write the English component of the instruction manual!)
Cannot advocate this adequate. Effortless effortless five stars.
FYI if you are interested in modding your Syma (particularly, the low cost, uncomplicated and amazing tail rotor mod that makes it faster and even more agile), you must buy the model that looks like the R/C copter (107G I think). Located this out the difficult way, but I nonetheless favor this one for the looks. Video of the mod results: [...]
