Having fairly a lot mastered the co-axial,S107 I decided to attempt out the Air Max 9103 fixed pitch Heli. This copter is a complete unique animal. It's rather aggresive compared to the S107 but not almost as stable and percise. I do not know if I got a bad heli, but to begin out the LED light was not operating. My initially flight, it took off and hit the top of the garage door and slammed to the floor. The plastic Head cover broke as nicely as the cabin lock which holds the head cover in place. The heli took off so fast that it did not even give me a likelihood to trim it out. Glued the head cover as nicely as the cabin lock and tried again. The heli is incredibly unstable as it tends to drift to the side. I have the rudder stick all the way forward and it doesn't go anyplace. When i hit the left or appropriate rudder, it wants to orbit rather rapidly. If you don't have sufficient space in your residence, you will be crashing it continuously. I am a little disappointed in this heli as i believed that it would be as stable and quicker than the S107 but it is just more quickly, no where close to as stable. I would save my revenue.
I bought this as step up from Syma 111g, 102G 107g. I was thinking that it be extra of a challenge and way more enjoyable than the other Symas I have. It was challenge alright! Wild right from start. Could not do something indoors so I went outside. I could get it the air but other than throttle I had no control. So I tried it outside and it crashed on the pavement smashing the canopy and one particular of the anchor pins for the canopy. Just after that I decided to move back indoors and try in the garage. Following studying what people did on the DH 9103's the significant brother the DH 9100 I adjusted the swash-plate to give it superior forward movement and began to make some progress. I located that you have to pre-adjust the trim settings to compensate for the 9103's tendency to spin counter clockwise all the time and trim the speed down also becasue the major motor and tail motors are 2X as potent than your 107G's. Soon after carrying out pre-trimming (the remote does not recall your settings btw). Immediately after that I finally got it to hover! It flew quite great just after that. I was beginning to get beneficial at it but it just had also countless truly difficult crashes and the prop blade pivot pins broke inside the hub so then I was carried out. This is one particular tough heli though. Given that my heli came it the reddish copper color I ordered new blade set from some place in China. Nobody had that color in USA. Yellow ones are common but not my color! So I am waiting for my blades, two canopies, canopy anchors, prop hub and additional swashplate. I guess i will start out over once again. The true trick with this thing is adjust swashplate so it flies forward superior and not backwardsish and pre-trim controls. Appears consumers who have purchased the bigger DH9100 flew perfect out the box far better than this a single. The DH9103 is virtually the similar only smaller. (There is even a guy a on YouTube with a guy flying a DH9100 one particular in tiny living space!) Appear this DH9103 is just also potent for its size. Meanwhile I bought an Syma S032G from SymaHeli on Amazon. Its an outdoor heli but its great indoors also. it even had two speeds! $38 ! So as soon as my components come in on for my DH9100 I will attempt it once more.
