Just after flying my S107 for a few weeks I didn't expect any micro coaxial helicopter to leading it for enjoyable. I was wrong...
The Avatar Z008 didn't fly very so very easily at initially. It was additional tricky to preserve altitude. I didn't care for the dead stick throttle. It was too effortless to start out the issue with blades spinning and then the mad rush to get it under control. I put a heavy rubber band across the controller to hold the throttle stick down. This was a little ugly but helpful. The trim for left/suitable rotation needed some attention for each and every flight and the further weight over the S107 made the Avatar drop far more speedily than I was utilized to. Applying the outrigger motors was complicated to coordinate with the throttle for level sideways flight considering they use the identical stick.
I initially felt the S107 just had the Avatar beat for enjoyable and efficiency. As I stated before, I was wrong! It took around ten flights and my entire perspective altered. They each lift off steadily and with ease. Neither tends to make any dramatic lunges or spins. The Avatar doesn't shoot for the ceiling like the S107 when the batteries are at complete charge but the S107 seems to float a great deal more readily as the Avatar takes a tiny more concentration to preserve it from sinking to the floor.
The S107 moves far more slowly than the Avatar by 50% or so but they each stop and turn rapidly and accurately in the same manner.
I like to practice landings on tiny flat surfaces other than the floor. I've gotten superior at it with each but due to the fact of the additional 6 grams of the Avatar, my landings with it are far better. The little additional mass seems to combat the buffeting of the air against the surrounding objects during landing.
Each are sturdy and durable. I have crashed the S107 much more quite often and have replaced two rotor blades but it was the S107 that taught me to be cautious. Each have created solid get in touch with against table legs and have fallen from heights. I somewhat assume that the Avatar's side motor nacelles tend to provide a small protection for the blades in some circumstances.
Since I've learned to use the two little motors on the sides of the Avatar, I have come to like them a lot. I delight in the miniature roar when they are engaged and the challenge to preserve the Z008 at an even hover altitude. Leveling is by no means an concern. Each side motors come on when moving either left or appropriate, spinning in opposite directions. It is a distinctive and pleasant feature and what causes me to select the Avatar when it comes time for a tiny enjoyable.
The Avatar comes with some spare parts (blades) for the key, tail and side motors and a little Phillips screwdriver that does not appear to fit something, including the IR manage door for the batteries. I hope to not desire them but they are there if I do. I would definitely hope that spare parts will become out there online as the Avatar deserves a following. When I come home from work, I appear forward to a little fun and it is the Avatar Z008 that is on my thoughts.
UPDATE: As usually happens ideal soon after a critique is written, I managed to sheer the rotor shaft stopper pins. This is the component that locks the best blades to the shaft that turns them. I have identified a source for the part but it is not in stock. I did have a few hours worth of enjoyable out of this toy and I hope to be in a position to fix it for some far more in the future. I could complain about the superior but honestly, these issues take place and any person acquiring an RC helicopter soon comes to comprehend they are prone to these problems.

My Z008 flew perfectly out of the box. I was surprised that charging times were about 18-22 minutes. When a side motor is engaged, you must improve throttle in order to preserve altitude.
